In a Comment from Olly, he suggested that I try Spam Karma 2 to clean up my comment spam on this blog. I downloaded and installed it today and it looks like it is just what I needed to get my comment spam problem under control.

My town needs a good local business directory and I think I should provide it for them. I am open to suggestions for how to set it up and what directory software to use.
If you have any ideas of tips for me just leave a comment to this post ……

Now it is more important than ever to follow up with your prospects if you are doing affiliate marketing. The big problem is virus scanners and spy-ware scanners are cleaning out most peoples cookies when they check their systems.
If you can capture their email address and follow up with them you may be able to get them to revisit the product site. Most people don’t buy a product on their first visit to a sales page so you stand a much better chance of making the sale and getting credit for it if they revisit from your affiliate link more than once.
Send them reminders about some of benefits that they should look over again and give them the link again. Don’t over do it, but send them a couple of follow ups for the product.
